Enduring Power of Attorney

Expert Guidance for Your Financial and Property Affairs

An Enduring Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows you to appoint a trusted person to manage your financial and property matters if you become unable to do so.

In Australia, there are two main types of Powers of Attorney: enduring and non-enduring.

A non-enduring Power of Attorney is typically used for a specific period or purpose, such as allowing someone to handle your finances while you’re away on a short-term trip.

An enduring Power of Attorney is much more comprehensive and has the added benefit of remaining valid even if the principal loses mental capacity. It remains in effect if the principal becomes mentally incapacitated, whether due to an illness or a serious accident, or any condition that affects their ability to make decisions.

At Karen Lambert Conveyancing, we provide expert guidance to ensure your Powers of Attorney are prepared correctly and comply with legislation, giving you peace of mind knowing your affairs are taken care of.
